Yes! Great, what a detail, wonderful. This is a great job, wasn't able to get such results my self yet. Congrats!

Would like to know how a tighter crop looks like, with only purple in the background...

Thanks Rense and aliguis!

Ask and you shall receive.

Not quit as sharp with it cropped so much but... I think this is a little over 100% as the first one is a crop also.

I have a set of extension tubes that I tried to get closer with but I haven't mastered them yet.
Its difficult using them with 50mm macro as the focusing distance is too close. I need to get a 100mm macro lens again to do bug work. The 50mm is perfect for flowers and stills but for bugs its a different story.

Don't know Oren. For things as aphids, a 50mm is great, because tubes have more effect! And aphids are not that fast runners/flyers, so 50mm + tubes will work.... I will give it a try myself this evening....

PS: you have to fix a bracket...;D

Love the colours in that last one, but you're right on the sharpness.....

Your right, aphids are one of the execptions as for moving around. I just couldn't seem to get it in focus though even with the 31mm extention. Once I got to 1:1 I was done. I am not very familiar though with the extensions tubes . Its all user error.
