Trying out my new Tamron SP AF 90mm F2.8 and Pentax AF160FC ring flash
Lens: Tamron SP AF 90mm F2.8 Camera: K20D Photo Location: Ingiriya, Sri Lanka ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F11

I got a new lens for Macro and am waiting for Raynox attachments as well. These are some of my first proper macro shots. Still trying to nail the focus and steady hand

The insect shots are at ISO 100 F11 1/125s and using the Pentax AF160FC ring flash.

Any suggestions and tips?

This one is with no flash at ISO 1100

Adjusted based on Adam's feedback. Thanks!

The colors in the first are great, and I love the last shot! I think the only issue we might be looking at is overexposure. Perhaps all that's needed is a big of editing in photoshop?

Thanks Adam. I think the exposure is my fault as the insects are dark. I'll try to see if I can pull back the highlights.

I must say I was pretty impressed by how the Pentax pulled off the ISO 1100 shot.

I did a quick change on the last photo. Let me know what you think Adam.

Looks much better now! Definitely not overexposed at all anymore.
