My first fake tilt shift pics
Lens: 18-55 Camera: K-x

I became fascinated with this effect when I saw some photos in a newspaper. Will have a go at making a DIY lens when I manage to get hold of an old Zeiss pentacon 6 lens, but in the meantime I had a play around with photoshop. Much fun had, quite pleased!

Very cool effect- I like the first shot a lot! Was it of a model set up? There's something about it that's telling me it wasn't real.

Then he must have done a good job eh?

The 4th and 5th ones are quite convincing to me.

Those are great, I like the boat shot the best, they really do look like little models. ...googling "fake tilt shift" now....

Those last two are amazing. Whats the PP process to get this effect?

Well I just used the blur tool in photoshop to blur the background and foreground. There are detailed tutorials around which use masking but it didn't work for me
