Sometimes my work brings me to interesting photo locations. This weekend I was at a nature reserve documenting the efforts to attach gps transmitters and rings to spoonbills. I couldn't really concentrate on photography; I had to work. So I probably could have done better. They didn't succeed in catching a adult bird. Luckily the younger ones can't fly. Sorry for the Canon in the first picture... Here below a short impression.

Thanks Rense! This was Schiermonnikoog. It was a first for me seeing this birds up close and I really appreciate the job I'm having to do. Sometimes one can hardly call this work. There were also a lot of seagulls about. One of them decided out of five people I was the biggest danger to here/his nest and dumped a royal amount of .... you know what on me.
