From this morning's walk...
Posted By: Tom Lusk, 08-05-2007, 12:06 PM

All taken with FA*300/1.7TC.

Just one Dragonfly shot - don't want to irritate someone!

Catbird with breakfast:

A pair of Damselflies (don't count as dragonflies, I hope...):

A trio of wrens:

And last, but not least- ?????

I couldn't figure out who is eating whom.

Great shots of the dragonflies Tom and beautiful shots of the birds as usual. A very interesting shot that last one - who won? Did you use the FA*300 in combination with the 1.7TC for all of the shots?

Paul

Do these things go in cycles for you Tom? Goldfinches, now dragonflies?

Guessing those are House Wrens, as you guys "up north" don't have Carolina Wrens... Or are they Winter Wrens?

Tom these are great shots. I do admire your work. I love the last shot with the bee and the Japanese beetle. I sure do hope that bee did him in. I've been trying to get rid of those darn beetles all summer. I keep finding them in my butterfly bushes and I don't want to spray them for fear it will harm the butterflies. I do think you had a very productive walk today.

I wouldn't worry so much about someone not liking the amount of dragonfly threads posted here. Feel free to post more and more dragonfly threads. You do them justice with great photos anyway.

Tom - They're all excellent shots and what a nice walk! It was overcast, hot and extremely humid here today and I SOOO wanted to get out with the F*300 and 1.7x (f/8 wasn't going to cut it) ... good to see somebody did

Tom,

Nice series of images once again. The wren images are nice as they can be quite flighty when approached. On my walk this mornign I came across one and wished I had my camera. My loss.

The trifecta on the cone flower is quite humorous except for one fo those critters

Stephen

PS... sent you an email.
