Few pictures taken while hiking with my older boy last Sunday. All have no post processing except hasty cropping in Picasa

I am newbie with untrained eyes and use 'P' mode exclusively. C&C are needed and welcome.

I don't exactly have "trained" eyes my self, but I do know what I like. I like the first shot of the grass best out of this series. Nice sharp focus and narrow dof, really makes the subject stand out.

#5 and #6 are wonderful, they remind me of "Dances with wolves."

Thank you & themed blog posts

Thank you all for the kind comments. I am new to my dSLR and I come from p&s world with my Fuji F30 and Casio ex-z750. So far, it has been a blast but I do better with my Fuji F30 for night pictures, results such as that with my Fuji F30, I can't reproduce with my Pentax K100D.

Hin's Photo Blog: Macau Night Pictures with Fuji F30

It has to do with my skills. But I am very blessed to have purchased dSLR and try to learn as much as sharing them in my blog pages

Hin's Tech Corner: Picasa Tutorials

And sharing them with religious contents, poem and songs that are dear to me

Great work, Hin. very nice composition and interesting subjects. good detail and color, too. Here's a couple I took with my DA50200 this weekend in raw format. Not as nice
as yours but I was please with the potential of this lens. C & C welcome. Freddy

Thanks for your comment. I especially like your 2nd shot. 1 and 2 are great but I find the 3rd one a bit saturated. I am not expert, so please take my comment with grain of salt. Also, I hear from my pentax friends that the default 'bright mode' and default saturation is more on the saturated side and the default setting don't work well especially on red color. I would try to experiment in taking the red pictures with default 'bright mode' and saturation -1 or -2 and try to get a setting to avoid over-saturation. Also a 'natural mode' on my K100D is yet to be explored on my list.

But so far, I like all the default settings in my K100D.

Quite nice! Must say I am very happy with my 50-200, too!

#5 definitely is my favorite!
