Red Wing Blackbirds (3 images)

A few images of a mating pair of Blackbirds I have been watching.



or maybe they have been watching me.



The male is so black it is tough to get the exposure just right but I think I'm pretty close here.

Thanks Oren,

I've been using this lens about 80% of the time for the past year and I'm think I'm getting the hang of it. It has it's weak points (CAs, PF) but you can work around them. That doesn't mean I wouldn't prefer an A* 400/2.8.

Great shots Tom, indeed you seem to be getting very good at using it!
I don't want to think about the cost of an A* 400/2.8... But I guess the viewfinder would be a bit brighter

... and the wallet a whole lot lighter. But it would sure be nice to try one for a week or so, wouldn't it?
