New insects
Lens: Tamron 90mm 1:1 macro + Raynox 250 Camera: K-x
Posted By: miss_alexx, 06-08-2010, 05:35 PM

I saw some interesting insects. I think they are kind of weird flies. Tell me what you think!

Thanks.

Note: It's only with the Tammy, no raynox.

Different colored flies are just about everywhere, huh? It's rare to see the last one close up, but I always see those little guys around. Thanks for sharing.

Nice. I'm not familiar with the top 3, but yes, the lastone is a Hover Fly. A bit different from the ones we have in my neck of the woods, they look like this.

Hope you don't mind me adding to your post, especially with a non-Pentax shot, (Samsung S730 P&S) but I wanted to show you the difference in the two. I see these quite frequently around here, and this is not the best shot of the markings on the back, but the only one I think I have on Flickr so far. I wish I had my insect ID book with me, some of the others might be in there.

OK just looked and I do have another but won't post it here, take a look at my flickr page and it's on page 4. But this is just a cool shot...so I'll leave it. Hope that's OK with you.
