First real photo shoot

I have done a lot of practicing with family and friends and I finally had the guts to do a photo shoot for a little girl while her parents watched. I was nervous but I think they came out good. This is my favorite one

These are a pretty good shots, congrats.

However, the first one is underexposed (nothing a quick tweak with curves won't fix). Also, she is dead center in the image, which makes it a bit "static" in my eyes. Finally, there is a lot of empty space above her head; I think it would work better if it was framed closer to her, with the top of her head closer to the top of the image.

I really like the light in the 2nd one, but again she is too centered in the image, at least vertically, IMHO, with again too much empty space above her head.

Yeah, your right. Thanks for the advice. My uncle brought his digital lenses with him so I used them for the first time ..kinda of threw me off. I am used to using my poor mans film lenses.

As pointed out, they all suffer from "head in the middle" syndrome, which I am confident you will avoid in the futuire as a matter of course (unless you really want it there :-)

The last one has a bit flat lighting.

Just another tip, have the subject just put one hand around the other rather than interlacing fingers - that way they don't squeeze them together and make them look stubby.

Apart from what the previous posters rightly wrote: you can still simply crop off empty space and thus offset your cute modell from the center - provided you used a camera with some megapixels to spare.
