Glynllifon comprises the old manor house, which was the home to Lord Newborough which dates back to the 18th century.

The manor is open for weddings and so on, and has seen a great deal of recent renovation (sadly it wasn't open during my visit).

There are also acres of beautiful gardens, with a selection of trees and flowers from all over the world.

Walking in here it's hard to comprehend that I'm only a ten minute drive from home!

I've you're ever in this part of the country, it's well worth a visit and doesn't cost a fortune (£4).

Here's a selection, including the manor house; the hand sticking out of the water is a tribute to local quarrymen.
