Identify the bug--Rense where are you?

My co-workers at G.E. Lynn are asking me what is this bug.I thought that it may be of the grasshopper family but that's only a guess.I hope that you "buggy Pentaxians" out there can be definitive and nail this one down.I searched goggle but to no avail.---charliezap

I'm glad somebody knew what it was. I've got those in my garden, too and had no idea what they were.

Yep, I found out about this one not long ago, posted a shot on the Flickr bug ID group. Someone there knew, but it wasn't in any of my books. since then I've been able to get a couple of decent shots with my Pentax, think I posted one on here.

nice capture charlie !..... they're really colorful when young, become plain and green and somewhat inconspicuous when adults... hey !! sounds like me... lol...... dave m

Thanks Dave--Maybe someday I'll get myself a nice piece of glass for macro shots.The quantaray that I use has its limits and I can't get closer than 2-3ft from the subject.Let's cut to the quick.If I wanted to spend around $500 or more what lens would be a nice selection.I look to see what other people are using for their macro shots to formulate an idea.--charliezap
