It didn't turn out, but I like this seagull flying photo

Like the title says, it didn't really turn out.
But to me there's just something about this seagull flying photo that I still like

I've taken several bird pic's which are better, ad yet this one's somehow my personal favorite at the moment. I must be sick or something

Not sick, at all. Looks like an impressionist painting (keep in mind a musician not a painter). I rather like the almost pastel look it has.

I keep trying to get one of these gulls flying, sharp and in focus - I've yet to pull it off.

An interesting photo Stu. The seagull has an almost insubstantial feel to it; almost giving it an affinity to the clouds. With some PP I would imagine you could enhance the effect, though I wouldn't be sure how to go about that.

Thank you for the nice comments.
I don't plan on doing any PP to it Paul, I wouldn't know where to begin either. Although a B&W might be interesting.

I think that I'll be getting a poster made up of this one.

It is a winning image regardless. Love the softness and poetic nature of this shot

For some reason Stu I also like it. I had to put my eye patch on again just to make sure my other eye wasn't giving me trouble. ( O-s**t wrong eye wait I'll switch it over to the bad one) AHHHH that's better , Yep I still like it.

Thanks roentarre, It was one of those see a bird flying, and shoot the pic hoping for the best things. So I don't know what camera settings I had or anything, although I could look.

Take care of that eye David

I posted the same thing on my flyfishing forum, and the thread has taken on a life of it's own. Here's the link
