Getting the hang of this superb Macro lens.
Posted By: pcarfan, 06-21-2010, 04:33 PM

These were taken today. I am getting more comfortable with the lens now. I want to use it not just for getting close but to showcase it's creamy bokeh.

First shot is great, I like trying to shoot those little guys too. Tried a couple this weekend but none came out good enough to show off.

I'm using my old SMC Pentax 50mm for my close ups now, I guess it's not true macro, nothing closer than about a foot, but it does a nice job of shots like that one, with a little judicious cropping..

The bird looks like a lot of mine do, pushing the range limit of the lens. Can't wait to get the bucks together for another long lens to replace my much missed 70-210...still a decent shot.

These are great my friend, I'd say you do - indeed - have the hang of that lens.
