Seagul photo. Keeper or trash it?
Posted By: Mr Hyde, 08-11-2007, 11:06 AM

I thought this was going to be another throw away until I noticed the eye. I'm on vacation and dont have any PP software on my laptop. The only PP is a crop and resize using MS paint (Arrghhh...) Comments are welcome.
Shot with K10D DA 50-200mm at 200mm, f/8, 1/350sec, ISO 200, AWB, AF.C, JPEG bright, +2 sharpness, +1 contrast

Well I downloaded Picasa. I cant thank you enough. I have PSP 10 on my desktop at home but performance on my laptop was really slow so I uninstalled it. Picasa works great on my laptop and it did a great job on my photo. I'm mostly a noob with this digital SLR stuff and you just made my day.

No Problem, it's a wonderful little program.

I don't use it often, but if I can't figure out what I want I just let it do it's thing.

I like what Picasa is capable of. Most times if I just want a little PP Picasa is a great program to do it in. I like the tuning controls and being able to adjust mid tones , highlights, and shadows quickly. Not to mention being able to adjust saturation to the edge. The program doesn't take long to learn.
the photo you posted Mr. Hyde is a classic and Picasa cleaned it up nicely. Well Done Stu. and great shot Hr. Hyde.
