Went for a drive down a road that was Just There and found this guy eating on the side of the road. I was about 100 feet away so this is heavily cropped. I got one one before he decide to leave. JIM

WOW!....absolutely stunning, I don't think I will ever get a chance to get a bear with flowers/weed in front like that in my life time. You were very lucky to have caught one with no clutter in the front and with such exquisite foreground, and took the opportunity to take a wonderful shot....BRAVO!

Thanks bud. I was coming back from a trip and decided to try a foresat road I have been meaning to check out. I was about 20 minutes into the road and spotted this guy. He only stayed about 30 seconds so I didn;t get as many as I wanted. Shot from the car window. I tried moving closer and off we ran. Considering its a 100% crop I was happy with the results. It helped that I pre-set my settings ahead of the shot but checking the exposure to the side of the road. Cheers JIM

Oh yes, the first shot is hilarious.
"Hey, can't a guy eat his vegetables in peace?"

Really like them both, bravo that you could take nice pictures. I guess even the shake reduction couldn't have helped me.

Great shot Jimbo. I haven’t seen a bear in the wild for some time. It’s quite a thrill to see a predator that isn’t behind bars.

This was funny to me too. He heard me at the last minute and brought his head up to see how was making all the noice. He didn't seem too worried until I tried getting closer. JIM

The shake reduction was off as I had been shooting on a tripod earlier. Appreciate you looking and commenting. JIM

Thank Tom. This is the seocond one I spotted in the last few months. The first one was on the other side of a four lane highway up in the bushes. could not turn around, This one was on a local forestry road. The road was a littloe rough for my car. I have no idea what I would have done if my car breoke down. I was 20 minutes, by car, off the maik road. JIM

What a great shot. The fact that it's been cropped so much is a testament to the sharpness of this photo. Wow!
