Thought I'd share my attempt at a sunrise, makes a change from all the night shoots I'm not sure how I did it, but I managed to drag myself and my son out of bed in -2 temp to get these.

I like both these shots, crisp sharp focus subdued light and natural colour. Well done.

Both very nice. I really like that second one in particular - the city looks really nice tucked to the side there.

I wish I could wake up early enough to get a shot like this. And the lense. And the skills. And...

Nice shots!
There seems to be some posterization or something in the sky, but I guess that would be more of an uploading or resizing artifact..?

Cheers, I can't help ya with the waking up bit, but just keep getting out there an snapping you'll get something you like. These two are the only ones I though ok out of about 50.

Nice shots - almost eerie in a way; as if the distant city is empty of people. Shots are technically very well done, too.

Very nice shots.
I really wish I can take images like these

Are these taken from Mill Point?

I am not sure about the object in the bottom left of the second picture. It draws my eyes toward it.

May I ask what lens you used?

cheers

Yes it was Mill Point. I used the DA 10-17mm at 10mm, which is also why I got the step in the second picture.

The lens is a great lens, but there have been times when I've just wanted to mount a filter on it , if I had the money spare I'd also add the DA 15mm ltd to the kit for that reason.
