The Satchel
Lens: Sigma 10-20 F4-5.6 Camera: Pentax K-x Photo Location: Forest Va ISO: 400 Shutter Speed: 1/2s Aperture: F8

I shot this picture of a satchel in an abandoned home a few months ago but I had a couple of problems with the original shot's layout. I went back and shot it again yesterday. I'm pretty happy with it..

Definitely better! I'd crop off just a little bit more off the bottom, though, I think.

Thanks, funny though that the major reason for the reshoot was cutting off part of the satchel in the prior shot. I think I'll split the difference.

NOT hdr. A bit of contrast & saturation boost but less than you'd think.

I know - I was saying you SHOULD do a HDR version

Gotcha, I tried a few a while back and didn't like the look. But I had to use high iso and handheld and the noise made it look bad. I've got a better tripod and mount and may try again with lower ISO.

This obviously isn't a HDR per se, which I'm sure should come out much better with a wider dynamic range, but I downloaded your shot and played around for a few minutes in Aperture 3 using Viveza. This location / shot looks like it has a lot of potential if you had a stack to play with !
