First few shots with the Panagor 90mm
Lens: Panagor 90mm Camera: K-X
Posted By: Praestigium, 06-29-2010, 02:37 AM

First batch of photos with the Panagor 90mm, although some of the photos had the Sigma 28-90mm reversed onto it.

It's a great lens but I just suck and am definitely abusing it

I feel like #3 really would have been a keeper if I got the focus right but alas, maybe next time.

Excellent lens ! I'm sure you'll nail it soon.

I think they're fine photos (particularly the first two)--and I really like the Panagor, which was my first macro lens (which I still have).

What I enjoy about macros in general is that they open a whole new world, particularly flowers and butterflies, seeing details impossible under naked eye observation. My first-ever published (of the few) photos in a newspaper were of tiny baby Fowler's toads taken with the Panagor lens (and a Pentax LX).

So get out there and take macros!

Haha exactly the same reason here, I find being able to capture scenes that would have otherwise gone unnoticed is an achievement in itself. Dew drops, blades of grass and flora towering over insects make one see the world in a whole new dimension.

I'll definitely try now thanks

Pretty sick! I like the backlighting on the second one.
