Shanghai World Expo - Street Shots
Lens: 43 Ltd & Tamron 70-300 Camera: K7 Photo Location: Shanghai World Expo
Posted By: Frogfish, 07-02-2010, 02:08 AM

My second trip to the World Expo being held here. Vast numbers of people (they are expecting ca. 70 million visitors over the 6 months of the Expo) mean massive queues to enter the actual pavilions however personally I have as much fun people watching, looking at the pavilions from the outside and watching some of the shows. I'll only enter the various countries' pavilions when the queues reduce to just a few minutes wait ! IT was very hot yesterday though (hitting 38C ... and 41C today) so people were flaked out everywhere and taking advantage of any shade they could find.

The focus on the girl with the fan is slightly off but I loved this shot - she was fanning her father - so I posted it anyway. Hope you enjoy.

None of these photos have anything to do with the Shanghai Expo, with the sole exceptions being the location and the blue mascot print on the bench. I was there (on a rainy day, unfortunately): where are the buildings, the lineups, the attractions, the bad food, the empty (or crowded) streets, the security, the this and that? Who cares about a girl with a fan? Referring to these as World Expo photos is like me posting a photo of my grandmother from last Saturday and referring to it as photos concerning the Toronto G20 events.

Mischivo - Learn to read. Also don't bother posting in any of my threads because all I ever see from you, indeed in anyone's threads you bother to post in, are sarcastic, and sometimes downright nasty, comments.
