Pensive Stranger

This young woman stood there, gazing out the windows of Kobe Port Tower's observation deck for the longest time. I couldn't help but wonder what was weighing on her mind.

Comments and criticism are always welcome! <3

(I wish I had changed my settings, but since I was trying to take a quick and stealthy candid shot of a complete stranger, I didn't get the chance)

I'm not sure if she's actually pensive or not, but I enjoy this photograph. Good work.

Pensive ... or just bored ? I like candid shots such as this one but think you could enhance the shot by cropping about 1/5 off from the left.

She stood there in that same position, just looking out the window, for a good 15 or 20 minutes so who knows!

Thanks for the advice!

I think a slightly tighter crop would help as well, but overall I like it. I think "pensive" describes her well, given the back story.

I like this photo a lot! Perfect tones in the face and the strong contrast between the dark window frames and the light outside view enhance the fact she is looking outside in the distance...

don't crop too much

just until the light colored area on the left is gone. I think that would make the composition even stronger. Very nice shot.

Retrospectively, I would not crop it at all, the light stripes on both sides complement each other very well and give balance to the darker areas.
