Travis wetlands

A black swan


NZ Native Pukeko aka swamp hen


Looking out towards the hills from the marsh

Excellent shot of the Black Swan. I have a few shots of them but they are really difficult to shoot and you have done a much job than any of mine !

Also like the last one shot with the Tak 300. I have that lens but can't seem to make it work for me.

yes, the swan took a nice pose for you and I really like the exposure and saturation with such colors.

Thanks for all the comments guys much appreciated, first time i've tried to photograph birds.

Yeah I thought the 300 would be great for this sort of thing, but that was the only good shot I got out of it - lots of light gave quite a bit of red fringing on subjects and it's quite a mammoth to lug about (1.5kg/3.3lb)
