Backyard Macro's

Here are a few more from the (new to me) DA 35mm Macro. All shot in the backyard and processed with Lightroom 3.

Very nice colors...

I wanted to ask.. is this as close as the lens goes?
Because without looking, it almost seems about the same as my K 35mm lens in terms of closeness...

I really like these colors. I'm only asking out of curiosity btw.

They do not look like they are 1:1 by any means....

I really like it! Typical (great) limited build quality. Great built in hood and a nice size.

Nope, it will focus as close as you can get the lens to the subject. With 35mm, that tends to be very close! I took these shoots from a little further out. My feeling is still that the 100mm Macro is a better all around macro lens (and might be my next purchase).
