A Railway Bridge in Canada
Lens: smc DA 21mm Camera: K20D Photo Location: Fredericton NB, Canada ISO: 200 Shutter Speed: 1/350s Aperture: F8

I have just come back from visiting my Father and relatives in New Brunswick, Canada.
This is an image of Fredericton's old railway bridge, spanning the St. John river.

Very nice composition and I can almost hear the water drifting by thanks to the small waves at the bottom! Crisp, good tonal range!

Thanks, Ole.

I think the first image here is too dark for my liking, so I have processed another version, with another split-toned effect.

I actually think I prefer the first one still, but either way really good composition and well executed

Agreed, the higher contrast is suited to the industrial-nature contrast of the image. I don't comment too much or post in the photos section - is it common around here to grab an image and PP it to your own liking?

Whoops...didn't realize it was the same poster!

Hey Paul - great shot and conversion, as usual. I'm leaning toward the second one.

Of the two, I like the second one. However, the photo itself doesn't do much for me.

You need to tell me why.

The composition is good. I just don't like the photo. It has no "reach out and grab me" appeal.

Great photo - I like the arrangement of shapes of different tones. It's interesting without being too convoluted.

I like this photo just fine. The framing is perfect.
