First real photos with DA* 50-135mm: WOW!!!
Posted By: mikerigel, 08-16-2007, 07:12 PM

Just wanted to show a couple photos taken with my 1 day old DA* 50-135mm.
Man this lens is sharp!! and it has great bokeh too...
First photo taken at f/4.5, the second one is wide open at f/2.8... you be the judges...

1/125s f/4.5 at 135.0mm iso100

Clouds made this one less colorful
1/500s f/2.8 at 123.0mm iso100

And here's a 100% crop from the photo above, not retouched.

This lens is a keeper and I can't wait to shoot my first portraits with it!
Comments welcome!

Damn it Mike, I thought I had my LBA under some control... I have the same subject to shoot so I know what that bird looks like in real life. That lens is incredible.

humm what am I going to sell this time from the camera bag now to buy this lens....

Doesn't get any better than this and I don't really want to talk about it. :-)

Outstanding images, thanks for posting them.

Thanks for posting this. Impressive shots in deed. The first shot has the bokeh like pastel colour and it really rekindled the fire of LBA inside me.

Wow ... just stunning.
This is definitely very sharp indeed ... and colour rendition is fantastic.

Ummmm ... I can't afford one of these though ... bugger.
But eventually I will have one (I hope).

Thanks for the images though ... this helps uin my decision for a future zoom lens though.
