Light My Night

this is my first night out shooting in a long time, and how can i improve my shot to be like the others seen here in this forum?

I really like both these shots, and don't see much that can be improved apart from minor compositional corrections here and there- i.e. the left edge in the second could be cropped a bit, and the lamp on the left in the first could be cloned.

I agree, nice shots, I would like to see both twice that size.

Could you be more specific about what you would like to improve? What is your aim?

I just feel like ive been taking the same type of photos, not neccesary a bad thing but i feel like ive lost my photography MOJO. maybe i just need to go out and shoot more. havent you guys at one point came across the feeling of "what am i going to shoot next that doesnt look like the images thats on my computer already?"

Yeah, all the time. And what happens next is that when you get a really good shot it raises the bar and suddenly you may find yourself unhappy with subsequent shots that don't measure up to the your last best one.

im just an amateur, doing ti for fun and my own enjoyment. Photography is like a way i can express myself. thank you for your complement though

Nice to see the St Mary's Cathedral in Sydney.

Nice pics BTW

Haven't been to Sydney for longer than I cared to remember
I miss that city and Darling Harbour at night

Thank You =) Sydney is a very nice place to live in and certain part of the city is very nice for night photography =) I usually go to have dinner with my girlfriend at night at darling harbour, it is just so beautiful at night.
