[creampuff] shoots Sunbirds
Lens: DA 55-300mm Camera: K-7 Photo Location: Singapore

Have not gone birding for quite awhile, so I decided to spend about an hour shooting these Olive-backed Sunbirds just to keep the skills sharp. These small guys are about 10 cm from tip to tail and just fly so fast amidst the heliconia. All shots are uncropped.

Beautiful series Denis. I love the second one. The colors of the flower and the bird are awesome.

Thanks. Well you probably won't have seen this one because it is distributed from southern China through south east Asia to northern Australia. Mainly feeds on nectar, though it will also eat insects.

Good shots! Must have been a bit difficult to shoot such darkish bird against so bright background, well done.
