Posted By: Tyler, 08-18-2007, 04:45 PM

We got a few trees taken down in our front yard today that were dead so they wouldnt have the chance to fall on the house :P Took a few pictures while it was happening.

tell me what you think,

these are with 50-200mm

wide shot with kit 18-55. havent bothered to fix the vignetting yet. oh well

and one more from the night before. totally guess with bulb exposure on this one. just kinda held it down till it felt right. haha. came out ok i guess

thanks,
tyler

haha, yeah pretty much. This guy had this scissor lift kinda thing but for cutting down trees. It was tracked and could reach 75ft and fit through spaces as small as 38". Its the only one in the US and cost ~$150,000.

He didn't use it though. lol

Nice series Tyler - that was one massive tree and if she fell the wrong way it looks like the next series would have been house under repair for sure. I like the second one as it show the scale of that big stick!

Looks like you have a nice place there in a secluded area. I had a acquaintance fall about 18 feet trimming some trees once with a chainsaw ... scary indeed (He was more less ok - few broken ribs and the chainsaw fell no where near him).
