I was very excited to log in to ppg today and see that my photo had been accepted. That makes two so far (the other was over a year ago!).
Anyways, it was taken from the summit of Mount Calvario, a big rocky hill above the town of Copacabana in Peru. There's a trail leading up the hill that takes you past the 7(?) stations of the cross, and then to the summit where there's a row of huge stone crosses and some vendors. It was a truly beautiful day when we climbed it, with fantastic views out across Lake Titicaca and the distant bolivian andes. A ways off to the side of the lake was this towering thunderhead, floating somewhere above the broad plains of the altiplano. Naturally, I had to take a picture, and this is the result:

I suppose maybe I'll submit more of my South America photos to PPG. It's always exciting to get one in!
