Sea Legs

Posed family shots, I'm afraid, but . . . . . .

Our granddaughter spent a couple of nights on our boat and - for the first time - sailed with us without her parents. Another milestone came in the marina pool when - again, for the first time - she swam while alternatively holding her breath and coming up for air!

To celebrate these momentous events, I recorded the first three shots. The fourth was taken after a long, and very active, day.

On the foredeck. Unfortunately, a mast grows out of Claire's head, but that's hard to avoid in an 1150-slip marina occupied largely by sailboats:

Getting sassy at the mast:

Weary of posing:

Just plain weary, Claire is surrounded by favorite blankets and stuffed animals - only possible in the summer with the miracle of reverse-cycle A/C:

Thanks, Dave. Claire's with us for a few days while her parents are away, and we're having a ball. Today, we're going to Galveston to Moody Gardens . . . . fun, but I'm about worn out!

You did an excellent job. But I think thereīs a trick. The way she posed and her expresion shows a great intelligence and maturity. She must be a very interesting girl. Fantastic model, fantastic pics. Thatīs cheating!!

I'm glad you enjoyed 'em, buddy. Like Heinrich says, they grow up so fast you're afraid you'll miss something as the "reinvent" themselves so often.

great portrait shots, though background is "noisy"(all the masts and such), your grand daughter stood out, with full authority!
