Love the colors here, and awesome use of the fisheye!

Thanks Adam... After I thought about it a while I think it was actually the Sigma 8-16mm F4.5-5.6 DC HSM. For some reason the lens data was not recorded.

Very nice shot! When I read the caption, I thought that maybe you had been visiting in my neck of the woods...

That tree at the end of the bridge was present when the Civil War battle was fought at the bridge.

Here is another angle... And yeah, if that tree could talk I'm sure it could tell tales to raise the hair on the back of your neck... Thanks for the info Mithrandir.

Both are GREAT shots. Hard to decide which one is my favorite. Yet another thread that makes me regret not making it up there last weekend.

Nice shot.

It's time for you to start contributing to the SIGMA 8-16 club

Such a beautiful image. Perhaps we can go out and shoot together some time so I can capture such beauty...

Really, are there any post-processing tips you can share or is the simple answer, get a K7?

Thanks Vaughn. It was a nice weekend but we definitely understand the distance thing. I'm hope to get something organized down your way this fall. Won't be on the same SWAG level as Brendan's events because I do not have his connections with the vendors, but that shouldn't stop us.

Thanks. I'll drop some images in there. It is an awesome lens that is definately on my LBA list, but since this one was a Sigma Loaner, what I have is all I'll have for a while.

I'm quite pleased with that one too. Thanks for the comment.

Thanks Jer. They both have their own advantages and that 8-16mm lens made it easy to bring out the best in the scenes.

Both great Mike - the perspectives with this UWA lens are awesome.
#1 stands out with such colour and vibrancy.
Well done and thanks for sharing.

Great images, Mike! I, too, wish I had been able to make it out there this year... I hope to include the 4th Annual in my plans for 2011
