We are back from the Yukon.......
Camera: K20D Photo Location: Yukon

......actually have been back for almost 2 weeks but when you get home after a month there are things to do other than processing pictures but I have started and here are a few:

Hummingbird Moth DFA 2.8 100 macro


Robin 55-300


Squirrel 55-30


Variable Darner DFA 2.8 100 macro


Northern Blue Butterfly DFA 2.8 100 macro

Fine shots, expecially that first one. I look forward to seeing the really good stuff knowing you didn't go to the Yukon just to shoot Robins and Squirrels.

I love these shots, particularly for the light/colors.

all the shots are great; the squirrel and the dragongfly came out best, for their background bokeh. great lens and great shooter.

These look terrific to me, Heinrich. I particularly like the first one - I've never seen (or even heard of) a hummingbird moth - an attractive creature.

The macros are superb Heinrich. I have no skill at these and know how hard they can be. Well done!

Thank you Lee and yes I do have some more pictures and will process some as soon as I get a bit of time but mostly it will be a project for next winter. The plan is to leave for the East Coast in the middle of August and return before the end of October.

Hi Jer and thank you. I have tried to take pictures of these moth before without much luck and than one day I turn around and this one is just sitting there.

Great shots, Heinrich! I especially like the moth, did not realize they can be that colourful!

Great pictures.

I believe the butterfly in the last picture is called a Northern Blue Butterfly (no relation to my username).

Good series! I like the ones with the 55-300 most, but they're all good
