I like very much the last 2 pics.
I'd love to see the last in B/W with only the bag colored ;-)

A lot of cool stuff here, Peter. The mermaid and the Canary Warf shot are my favorites.

I love "the painter". What a great combination of portrait with color with wonderful archectural background. Just lovely!

She looks slightly concerned about being photographed. Do you know her?

no I don't know her. She was literally the painter and I don't think she's concerned about being photographed but concentrating on her work. From what I worked out, she was drawing the National Gallery... quite a task....

I have seen many pictures that are like that... only one or some elements that are colored in a black and white... what software is used to accomplish this? Is it process intensive?

Hi there,
all you need is software that can work with Layers. PS will do it (I have never owned Elements so can't comment on it). All you do is:
keep original color layer, copy it on top of itself, desaturate (which ever way you want) and then mask/delete parts you want to be colorful. The original layer will show in those places. At the end merge the layers, ta daaaa

hope it helps.
