I actually really missed it, since I was eating dinner. Just happened to see that there was going to be a really good sunset after all, this evening. So, I got to my vantage point just as it was ending.......

This is a 6 image stitch at 100mm

Lots of colour here - perhaps a little too much, but nicely stitched together.
With a little more interesting foreground and a slight 'cooling' of the image this one would be great.

I can see the stitching on the left side, but great work with exposure! The colours are rich and soothing.

Thanks for the comments. Just below the bottom edge of the image is a very uninteresting roof line of a house, that was not going anywhere soon. I would have liked some better valley lights, but waiting for them I would have lost the color, which was fading very quickly. Actually, this was about 10% of the color of 10 minutes before. I had to drive 5 minutes up to the vantage point in order to get the view. And the stitching job was just the initial one to see how well it turned out. I need to go back and make some adjustments. Also, I noticed that I had inadvertently had the camera in program mode rather than manual, so it was the idiot behind the camera who messed up and contributed to the stitching problem....
