2 Shot HDR Pano, works quite well.
Posted By: Avantphoto, 08-20-2007, 09:00 AM

This shot was taken about 2 feet from a major road in the Chicagoland area, hence forth the name Forgotten River. It seems so many people will drive by an area and never see the beauty that may be there, it's my goal to capture these forgotten lands.

This is a 2 vertical shot pano, each shot is composed of 3 exposures combined into 2 HDRs, then merged as a panoramic, so there are 6 individual exposures in this picture.

This is "fine art" material. Very, very, very well executed. The tonality is perfect. This is the kind of HDR that I find really effective. The gentle blur on some leaves and the dynamism of the clouds infuses the photograph with a palpable sense of life.

Excellent work.

Thanks so much! I really am enjoying the K10D, on the onset of the new Canon 40D (Which I have to admit tempts me) It really dosen't have that much over the K10D, sure 6.5 FPS is great for sports, but as a landscape photographer I could care, Live view is nice nice but it seems to take away some of the spirt of photography by looking though the viewfinder. Anyhow thanks for the comments, please if you have more by all means add them and here is another from the same day, this one is just a single shot and no toning but I like it! Oh and BTW that shot was handheld and let me tell you handheld HDRs are a pain, but I have no problem working to achive what I hope for and the SR really does help!

Multi shot panoramas are the best!

Not only does it reduce the ammount of noise in reduced size versions,
but increases the size you can print at effectively!

I plan to start doing a lot more of these soon.
