Scratching my head over this one. Exposure is decent, light is decent, subject is moderately exciting, sharpness is good.. but it just doesn't do it for me. I can't put my finger on it but something's off -- any ideas??

Exposure not quite right.
Feathers need softening(its a swan remember... soft and heavenly).
Background doesn't compliment the subject(soft and...).

It Is over-exposed but as far as the crop goes, photos like this look better to me if the bird is going somewhere (whether he's moving or not). I would have left a little more space on the left of the photo if it's there to leave. Kind of like this..
