On a Christmas morning about 25 years ago, my Dad presented me with a brand new A*85/1.4 lens; my folks were comfortable, but very far from wealthy - yet they unselfishly did Christmas in a big way for me, my wife and daughters. Here's a link to some pictures of the lens, which I've tried to maintain in like-new condition:

I haven't used it in a few years (it was - sort of - superseded when I got my DA 70Limited), but . . . for whatever reason . . . . . I pulled it off the shelf today. This evening, when it cooled down sufficiently to survive under the ambient conditions, I grabbed some pictures around the house, picking - for lack of better subjects - our magnolia tree (specifically buds) and my car. All of these were taken under extreme mosquito attack (I wiped the blood off before putting the car back into the garage).
