maybe not the most interesting of subjects, but i was quite please with the end result

I like this shot! The only thing I don't like about it is the hot sky.

You have done it well. To my experience shooting forests at this distance (not close enough to capture an individual tree, not distant enough for the forest to melt into one surface) is actually difficult to do. It easilly gets messy. Here it works.

thanks guys..yeah the sky was a problem - the only thought i did have was to use the raw files, dial down the exposure then stack them then reproduce the pano.

unless you have a better idea??
