Sunny day cycling
Posted By: thomasjmpark, 08-22-2007, 03:25 PM

Hi,

Another cycle trip in superb sunshine today Im still learning the basics of aperture and shutter speed settings but am determined to learn them properly by shooting in manual all the time.

I think im finally getting my head round it (but dont ask me to explain it yet!!).

Comments and crits are welcome.

1. Greta river next to my house (not the 1 in the background)

2. Panoramic of Skiddaw mountain behind my house.

3. Latrigg (a large hill really)

4. Derwentwater lake

5. A popular climbing spot (spot the climber?)

6. Last 3 shots are of washing my bike!

Nice series Tom. I am always amazed to see such a rugged, wild side to England. I guess I need to travel more! Good detail on the bike wash up, too.

Thanks Jeff. I know what you meen about being surprised about the landscape given it seems that most of england is flat. Its always a pleasure to be here in the Lakes.

Im planning some trips to Scotland soon so hopefully i will get some shots of even more rugged terrain, maybe even with snow!

Cheers

I am looking forward to seeing pics of Scotland.

(BTW - we have 6 months of winter here - snow is highly over rated!)

I dont like to walk in it as much as I like to look at it from afar, preferably somewhere warm! Although its good to venture out now and again.

Cheers
