National Geographic Made a Puzzle Out of My Tortoise!!!
Posted By: tknterry, 08-23-2007, 05:25 AM

My Gigantic Galapagos Tortoise is being very good to me! National Geographic first chose my photo as one of the Daily Dozen on August 9 and now I just found out they made an online Jigsaw Puzzle out of the image!!! Check this out:
National Geographic Magazine

Its in the top left, in the revolving image viewer. Just wait for the tortoise to appear or click on Number 2 for it to show up. If you click on the image, it will take you to the Your Shot Jigsaw Puzzle Generator page and then to get to my puzzle to play it you have to go to Page 8. That is, IF you want to do it! I tried it and there is no way I can figure out the puzzle
I was totally amazed to see it !!!!!! Its quite astonishing to see my tortoise image on National Geographic's web site and then they make a puzzle out of it!!! I really have to take my camera out more! National Geographic is making my month!

Thanks for the comments. I finally completed the puzzle since I felt I ought to since its my photo It took me over 16 minutes with the large piece option! If you go into Options and select Large Pieces, it makes it a bit easier.

I'm usually bad with puzzles, but it took me 14 min with the default puzzle.
I just took a mental note of the top grassy area, making it easier to start, then went from there.

Wow! I didnt know I had so many replies. I wasnt notified by email of all of them Thanks very much for your comments and for trying out the puzzle. It is much appreciated. Most of your times are a lot faster than mine. I need to find out if my photo is going to be published in the print National Geographic magazine now. My Galapagos Tortoise has been very good to me and I intend to look him up when I go back to the Galapagos next May
