Wind in static (IR)
Lens: DA* 16-50 Camera: K200D Photo Location: Mikkeli, Finland ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: >6s Aperture: F6.7
Posted By: Horst-Helmut, 08-11-2010, 12:51 AM

Among the first 10 IR filtered pictures I took there was one that I consider ok. I'm trying to get pictures with long exposures in daylight to show the movement of wind, I think the moving foliage as an essential part and opposite to the static elements. Some think this as a flaw and necessary evil when taking IR filtered photos with unmodified camera but thats the thing I'm trying to capture, balancing out the best of both, static and moving.

ISO: 100 Shutter speed: 20s Aperture: f/7.1 @ 16mm

Slightly cropped, still some distracting elements on the lower right corner. I printed this as a3 but the shop blew it by changing the image ratio from 16:9 and cropping both sides changing the picture quite much. Have to go there and ask for another print.
I still suck at PP, but what heck.

Very cool shot! There is so much to look at in this picture that i had to come back a few times and look from another "minds view".
Only thing that is a litle distracting is the lower right corner, as you said yourself.

Great picture imo!
