Valley of Fire

These are the first real pictures we've taken with the new k-x. My wife snapped this one of me while at the Valley of Fire in Nevada.

It was a blast... except for the 107 degree heat in the scorching sun!! Great thing was that you could drive to each spot in the park.

It was not quite that hot when I was a there - maybe 85 tops.

Don't know how I missed this post the past few days...

Same here, not near that hot when I was there, 80 or so tops, early spring. I hope you stopped at atlatl rock, great petroglyphs there. some fantastic scenery everywhere you look, same for Red Rock Canyon also just outside Vegas. We made several trips to each, I just wish I had had my K-x then, only had a Samsung P&S but it got me some good pictures.

These look good, as you get used to the K-x and tweak a few settings, I think you'll find it to be a great camera. I love mine and have been getting some excellent shots with a couple of old manual lenses.
