hummingbird images
Posted By: Marc Langille, 08-26-2007, 09:53 AM

Taken up to several weeks ago. My schedule, etc. has kept some things on the back burner! Chris's fine hummingbird post jogged my memory about uploading some of these images.

#1 and #3 are VERY heavily cropped - equivalent of a 1.5MP image.

Taken at F/5.6, 1/125 sec., ISO 100:

Taken at F/5.6, 1/350 sec., ISO 400:

Taken at F/6.7, 1/125 sec., ISO 400:

Now, without looking at the EXIF in the images, can you guess what lens took the first image? It's a bit of a surprise! #2 and #3 would be obvious if you checked the EXIF and then my equipment profile.

Cheers,
Marc

Nice shots , I love number #2 - looks like you may need an air traffic controler !

I think you've hit the nail on the head... that's my phrase for the activity in front of the house...

Try 25-30 hummingbirds almost all the time!

Wow, number one really did it for me! Great set altogether, but #1 would be my fave. Great captures!

Lens used for #1? Since it's a surprise, I'm guessing the kit lens.
