dirty face.
Lens: 50mm reverse Camera: k-x ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F11

i really dont know if this is a good picture but i just want to share it...

Incredible colour and some good detail on the eyes.

Shame the DOF wasn't deep enough to get the nose and eyes in focus.

yeah, thats the problem with reverse lens... very shallow DOF... thanks for the comment!

i'm still awed by these super macro shots..... dumb ???... how does one reverse mount a lens... obviously then it's a fully manual shot?? i think i'll stick to my 'a' lenses and leave these to the experts... thanks for sharing... dave m

I'm relatively new in DSLR photography so if you don't mind...what's the meaning when you say "reverse" as in 50mm reverse?

It's when you mount the lens onto the camera backwards.

Reverse-Lens Macro Photography [tutorial] StephenElliot.com

It works best with old manual lenses (such as the 50mm) as they have a manual aperture ring.
