Practicing macro techniques when I found this plant skeleton (?) in the field behind my house. Threw my grill cover behind it to get a darker background.

Nice shot. That's what's left of a "Japanese lantarn" plant, an introduced European ornamental with a bright orange papery covering over the fruit.
