Portraits with my friend & her dog
Lens: 50mm * DA* 50-135 Camera: K-7 Photo Location: Eastern Beach
Posted By: Christopher M.W.T, 08-22-2010, 04:44 AM

Some shots I took for a friend today down at the beach.

This is one of the few times I've shot with JPEG, I also used the reversal film mode.

There's been no additional adjustments to the photos (except the B&W one)

I love the Bokeh in this shot.

That was done with the 50mm at f2

Thanks for that.

It was more chance that good timing we got it during golden hour, the sunset was amazing yesterday, so brilliantly yellow.

Should add, the shot in B&W was just TOOOO yellow, the reveral film mode in JPEG really overly saturated it too much, I found the shot worked better as B&W.

Indeed, watch out for the jaundiced look, Chris - 2,3,5 and 6 all could do with some cooling down...

#1 is simply brilliant. Well done with that one.

These look great to me, Christopher. The B&W one sure reminds me of movies from the late '40's and early '50's.

Very good job.

I like the first and second.
4th is too dark IMO and the rest too yellow, but nice attempts...
and you should be able to save the yellow ones with a bit of PPing

I like the b&w contrast of the first, and the bokeh of the 50 is indeed nice.
