I did not record the aperture...

I welcome any comments regarding this photograph. Thanks in advance.

A very creative composition, but I think that the rings aren't pronounced enough, and that the reflections in the upper right are a bit distracting.

I agree with Adam on his points. The one thing I can think of to try might be increasing the contrast, or using a photoshop plug-in like ReDynamix to try and make a faux HDR to increase contrast. Not sure if it will work but it may give this photo a little more pop.

Thanks, Tim and Adam. So, let me understand you correctly - effectively sans the composition, this shot is, let me put this way - less than successful... Tim, your comment about the contrast is most valuable... Thanks!

I don't have a problem with the ripples or the reflection.

I would crop a little off the left for a bit more balance, perhaps...

I hope I am not breaking any forum rules here, but let me show a version of this shot that I edited according to your suggestions and my initial idea. I wonder what would you have to say now.

Minimalist water shots with reflections appeal to me, and I like this kind of photo very much -- I think the second one is better. Tranquil, evocative (reminds me of my favorite places), and also mysterious -- what made the ripples? A fish, frog, droplet? I like the colors and slight ripples. I'd hang it on my wall.
