We often we ascribe human traits to our pets but we, I, seldom think the same may be true of wild animals. I encountered this squirrel lounging and catching some late afternoon rays today. He seemed quite comfortable laying on this piece of detached bark about 15 feet off the ground. I've never seen a wild one so relaxed.

I don't usually shoot these guys much anymore but there wasn't much else moving at the time. I'm not sure what the goose was looking at here but I liked the pose.

Nice shot of the squirrel, I tried to get one very similar a while back but never got one that stood out. It was a red (fox) squirrel lounging about 3pm on a long limb about 20 feet off the ground, but too far away to get a really good shot.

Nice shot of the goose too, I don't get many chances at them here, but this winter I expect to get some nice duck shots, thousands will be at a local wildlife management area I go to a lot.

Really digging both shots. I've never seen a squirrel so relaxed either, but that's usually because my dog is beside me trying to hunt them down.

These are very well executed Tom. I'm thinking that these guys are a little bit bigger and slower moving than your usual subjects!

True enough Jason. Actually, there was very little wildlife out and about save the two images above. Must of been the time of day. I heard a lot of birds but saw none. In any case these guys were a lot easier to get in focus.
