Busy reflections and a stoic figure
Lens: F 135mm F/2.8 Camera: K-7 Photo Location: no clue Aperture: F2.8

Im trying to gauge what people think of this photo as a bird shot?

Pentax F 135mm @ F/2.8 used

I like the basic setting and the bird but if you can recover some of the blown areas to show feather detail it would help a lot. I usually end up shooting white egrets in the sun by spot metering with +1/3ev then using those numbers to set up in Manual mode for the real shots.

I guess my problem is that perfectly exposed images half of the time are to me, boring.

It would not pop, and would look rather dull if it was perfectly exposed.

Edit: It is good to know that the general public disagree however
