My new DA 55-300mm "I'm liking it"
Lens: DA 55-300mm Camera: K20d Photo Location: Saugus Ma ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/180s Aperture: F5.6

It was almost sunset and the sun was filtering behind the trees and with the low light I wanted to try out the new lens. The bird was shot at 1/180 at f/5.6 ISO 800 and the produce at 1/90 @f/4.5.The lens is starting to grow on me.I hate to give up my Quantaray 70-300mm that treated me very well but I probably will sell it for $95 with a uv filter. The q-lens does do macro. My wife (Santa) got me the q-lens at Christmas and it is in just about mint condition.Life goes on and I'm sure that the DA will be an intergral part of my photographic endeavors.---charliezap

Lotta fun isnt it Charlie? very compact package that handles sweetly.
Something Im just starting to play with is mode setting that includes IC chip
in lens as part of overall metering solution.

Hi Bill--I'm quite sure that in the long run that I'll look at the lens very favorably.--charliezap

congrats charlie.... once you put this lens thru it's paces... you're really going to see how capable this is... fwiw... i find this lens at f8 to work quite well... sharpens up pics quite a bit... all depending on shooting conditions.... dave m

I took the 55-300 out to the ball game Sunday. In addition to some nice portraits of my wife's colleagues, the game shots weren't bad.
