A Day at the Denver Zoo
Lens: 70-200mm f/2.8 VR Camera: Nikon D700 Photo Location: Denver, CO
Posted By: deadwolfbones, 09-03-2010, 10:11 AM

Spent a few hours at the Denver Zoo during my brief road trip last week. Took along the D700 and 70-200VR and it proved to be a good combo (though I would have loved to have had a 300 or 400/2.8--though I saw a guy with a Canon 400/2.8 and my back thanked me). Some tough lighting conditions, which the D700 handled admirably.

(Maned Wolf)

The gorillas were depressing, as always.

Very nice series- especially like the dramatic lighting in the second, as well as the blue monkey shot.

It's the photographer too I'd say, especially for the expressive ones
